Hailey Schwieger is currently an Assistant Project Manager at Greystone Construction Company. In 2023, she received her degree from MNSU's Construction Management program. In high school, Hailey worked as an intern at Greystone Construction and chose to attend MNSU-Mankato through the recommendation of her colleagues at Greystone.

Deacon Finkenbiner

Deacon Finklenbiner is currently a Project Engineer at Ames Construction. In 2024, he received his degree from MSU's Construction Management program. Throughout high school and college, Deacon's first jobs were working with concrete and framing. Deacon chose to attend MNSU-Mankato because college was near to home, he had always loved construction work, and he knew that we had one of the top CM programs in the Midwest/Country.

Cass Schmidt

Cass Schmidt is the VP of Renewables at Transglobal Services. She is a graduate of the Construction Management program at MSU in 2008. Cass’s first jobs in high school were working at K-mart, serving food at a bowling alley and house keeping for a mom and pop shop. She heard about the Construction Management program from a friend and knew it was the right fit for her.

Josh Bergstrom

Josh Bergstrom is the VP of Field Operations at Ryan Companies. He is a graduate of the Construction Management program at MSU in 2000. Josh was a farm kid growing up in a town west of the cities. His first exposure to construction was early on in his life on the farm. Then that continued when he attended school at Minnesota State, Mankato where he worked full-time in commercial construction while attending classes.
“It doesn’t matter if you're helping frame a house, pouring concrete, or if you're landscaping. Start to get exposure to the industry.”

Peter Clark

Pete Clark is a graduate of the CM program in 2019. Since then, he has been hired on at Adolfson and Peterson right out of college and is now a Project Manager with them. He had worked with A&P during college on a project in St. Peter, and that was the start of his construction experience. During his time at Mankato, he was a part of CMSA and was the VP in his Junior year.
“One thing I would say is huge is build relationships with as many people as you can.”

Andy Martinson

Andy Martinson graduated from Mankato in 2005 and is currently the Director of Construction at Ryan Companies. Andy’s favorite part of his role is seeing all the different scopes of work. And seeing something new everyday and tackling a variety of different challenges with every project.
“Pay attention to all classes especially ones outside of the scopes you think you will get into. You never know what you will get into after college.”

Adam Maxfield

Adam Maxfield graduated from University of Minnesota State, Mankato in 2021. He is now a Project Engineer for JE Dunn Construction in their self-preform sector. Self preform is great financial plus within a company because at the end of the day they are getting that fee instead of a subcontractor.

Charlie Janssen
Charlie Janssen graduated from the Construction Management program in 2015. He currently works as a Project Manager for Kraus Anderson Construction. Charlie’s favorite part of his job is being on a project from start to finish and working with a little bit of every aspect of construction.

Kaleb North graduated from the Construction Management program in 2015. He currently works as a Construction Project Manager for Kraus Anderson Construction. Kaleb interned at Floor to Ceiling as an estimator while attending MSU. Kaleb was also the Vice President in CMSA during his college career.

Taylor Hedberg graduated from the Construction Management program in 2020. He currently works as an Estimator for Knobelsdorff Construction. Taylor does quite a bit of work in the industrial sector on things such as grain facilities and feed mills.

Juan Lopez graduated from the Construction Management program in 2019. He currently works as a Project Engineer III at RJM Construction. During Juan’s time in the industry he has worked on many different construction projects, and really enjoys the concrete aspects and everything that can be done with it.
